چکیده

The elastic and inelastic profiles have been derived from the measured elastic differential cross section data with the help of exact impact parameter representation of elastic scattering amplitude. The results obtained for pp scattering at energy of 53 GeV and ¯ pp scattering at energy of 541 GeV have been presented. They indicate that nucleons can be regarded as objects characterized by a small core (diameter ∼ 0.4÷0.8 fm) and a half transparent outer shell (responsible mainly for elastic hadron scattering).

On the universality of cross sections of hadron -hadron(nuclei) collisions at superhigh energies

We analyze the pattern of the onset of complete absorption (the black limit) in the high energy hadron-hadron collisions. The black limit arises due to the hard and soft interaction dynamics as a function of the impact parameters b. Both hard and soft mechanisms provide universal dependence of the partial amplitude of the high energy elastic hadronhadron scattering on the impact parameter b and...

Interplay of Parton and Hadron Cascades in Nucleus-nucleus Collisions at the Cern Sps and Rhic

We introduce a Monte Carlo space-time model for high-energy collisions with nuclei, involving the dynamical interplay of perturbative QCD parton production and evolution, with non-perturbative parton-cluster formation and ‘afterburner’ cascading of formed pre-hadronic clusters plus hadron excitations. This approach allows us to trace the space-time history of parton and hadron degrees of freedo...

Chemical and thermal freeze-out of identified hadrons at the LHC

This proceedings contribution briefly summarizes our recent VISHNU hybrid model investigations on the chemical and thermal freeze-out of various hadrons species in 2.76 A TeV Pb+Pb collisions. Detailed analysis on the evolution of particle yields and the last elastic collisions distributions during the hadronic evolution reveals that the two multi-strange hadrons, Ξ and Ω, experience early chem...

Intrinsic Heavy Quark States

The postulate that ordinary hadrons contain intrinsic charm quark states-(such as luudcc> in the proton) at the 1% level is shown to explain two sets of unexpected experimental results: (l).the copious diffractive. production of charmed hadrons at large longitudinal momentum in high energy proton-nucleon and pion-nucleon collisions, and (2) the anomalously large number of same-sign dimuon event...

Hadron-hadron and hadron-nuclei collisions at high energies

In the 1960’s-1980’s high quality secondary beams became available at proton synchrotrons of increasing energies (PS, AGS, IHEP, FNAL, SPS). The secondary charged hadron beams contained the six stable or quasi stable charged particles π, K, p, p. The main experimental lines of research were: i) total hadron–hadron (hh) cross section measurements at high energies (plab > 20 GeV/c); ii) elastic h...
